MOORESTOWN YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

In 2023, MYFA switched league and now belongs to the West Jersey Youth Football League (WJYFL).  Player will be placed in the corresponding team based on age in accordance with WJYFL requirements.     

  • Football FUNdamentals - Great way for kids to get introduced to football at a young age!  There is no age or weight restriction, but it is geared towards 6-8 year-old.
  • 105 # Team:
    • Must be 10 or under as of September 1
    • 104.9 & under can play any position and 105 and up must play T2T.
  • 120# Team:
    • Must be 12 or under of September 1.
    • 119.9 & under can play any position and 120 and up must play T2T.
  • Junior High:
    • Must 14 or under as of September 1 (no 9th graders permitted)
    • 144.9 & under can play any position and 145 and up must play T2T (NEW).

Equipment

MYFA provides all of the equipment needed to participate with the exception of football cleats, a mouth guard and an athletic support cup.   Equipment is expected to be returned within one week after the at the end of the final game for each team in good condition, reasonable wear and tear excepted.  A player will not be allowed to attend the Football Banquet, receive team gift or register for future years until such time as the equipment is returned.  The League reserves the right to pursue legal action, including court action seeking compensation.

HISTORY OF THE S.J.I.Y.F.A.

The league was founded Marh 8th 1990 and was named The South Jersey Independent Youth Football Association. The first officers were President Bob Haessler of Maple Shade, Vice President Jerry Goldberg of Edgewater Park, Treasurer Tony Salamon of Winslow Twp. The secretary was added March 13th 1990 Ron Carrothers of Riverside.
